Description
The μGard®2 R450a Refrigerant Gas Detector MC2-X-S2077-12-A-X-P is an advanced sensor unit designed for continuous ambient air monitoring of Freon and refrigerant gases. Featuring digital value processing and self-control, this sensor ensures accurate and reliable gas detection.
The MC2 sensor unit integrates a microcontroller (μController), analog output, and power supply, along with a semiconductor sensor element and amplifier. It processes real-time data and outputs a linear 4–20 mA (or 2–10 V) signal, storing all relevant measurements and sensor data for seamless operation.
Calibration is effortless—either by replacing the sensor unit or using the integrated calibration routine directly on-site.
Application
The PolyGard®2 Sensor MC2 is specifically designed for detecting refrigerants and Freon gases in refrigeration plants and industrial facilities where a 4–20 mA (or 2–10 V) output signal is required for integration with control systems.
